A fishy tale
On Tuesday the 7th of February, what a fishy tale it was.
The Early Learning Centre children took to the dams! A blanket was spread under the shady tree and the children enjoyed a bowl of popcorn at the water’s edge. But the real surprise treat was that every child had a turn to catch a fish! Uncle Johan was there to help and the fish were most co-operative! Every child managed to catch their own fish. ‘Only one got away – and yes, it was the biggest one!’ After the catch, each fish was carefully removed from the hook and set free to live another day.
There was great excitement and great fishing tales wanted to be told at the supper table that night. How very privileged our children are to learn life at our beautiful learning centre. Life is more than just abc’s and 123’s. Life is great and to be enjoyed. And nature is a gift!
